Mysterious Viral Video from District 9 Director Neill Blomkamp

This week a mysterious video appeared all over the web. A viral from the director of District 9, in which we can see a short and strange drive of a couple of men in a car that stop to check out on an alien-foetus like thing on the side of the road.

 

Not much more to explain , except for a stamp on the alien thing, kind of lie the food-check ones they add to pigs:

 

The first picture, a normal Pig-mark, and the second a frame form the video.

 

The video mark seems to read: 18.12AGM Heartland Pat Pend USA which is breaking peoples heads. Nobody seems to know where this is from or for. Any Ideas?

Lagos, Nigeria, 2059 – Kajola

This is the first high budget sci-fi that uses cgi coming from Nigeria. There might have been several reasons on why this has been pulled out of cinema on the day it launched (cgi seems to be pretty basic, they launched it the same day Inception premiered, or displaying Nigeria as a totalitarian state…ok, reasons enough), but still this looks interesting.

Kajola is the Yoruba word for commonwealth. In the year 2059, Nigeria becomes a totalitarian state. After a second civil war, the rich relocate to the Island areas of Lagos state and turn it into an ultra modern city. The war torn mainland of Lagos state is disconnected and abandoned.

A rebel leader, Allen learns of a plot codenamed Kajola to build cities on the mainland and eliminate the remaining survivors. He leads a rebellion against the govt. And must be stopped by Yetunde, the police chief. Though mortal enemies, both discover that everything they thought they knew were nothing but lies.Its a story of love and lust and it heightens the fact that if we don’t deal with the segregation and negligence issues facing the country today, then our future is quite predictable because TOMORROW IS TODAY.
